- MLS Pin Preview Meeting - Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Manor Restaurant in West Boylston - Brokers/Managers 10 am to noon and Agents 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The event will include a preview of the latest proposal for the electronic lockbox system, an overview of new options, a demonstration of MLS system enhancements and free fax service. State Senate Bill 121, An Act Clarifying the Requirements for Licensing as a Real Estate Broker or Salesperson, has been signed into law. Read more.
- Free Online Continuing Education Classes are available as of April 1, 2010. NCMAR and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS have partnered to provide several free CE courses for license renewal credit. Go to our Online Real Estate School page for details and registration instructions.
New Regulations and Information
- Start of Mass Homeowner Oil Heating System Upgrade Law has been delayed. The effective date of the new state Homeowner Oil Heating System Upgrade and Insurance Law (installation of an Oil line sleeve or oil safety valve) has been delayed until September 30, 2011. The new law, originally set to become effective July 1, 2010, has been delayed and will become effective on September 30, 2011, giving homeowners fifteen additional months to comply.
